ISFiT 2027 is an international student festival taking place in Trondheim, Norway, from 11 to 21 February 2027. The festival will bring together approximately 350 students from different countries and academic backgrounds for workshops, dialogue, debates, cultural exchange, art, and music.
Partially funded
Participation, food, and accommodation during the festival are covered. Travel costs are generally not covered, although applicants may request limited airfare assistance through the application form.

Eligibility
There are no published country or regional quotas.
Selection Criteria
Selection is based primarily on the written application.
* Are motivated and engaged.
* Can contribute meaningfully to discussions.
* Are willing to share their perspectives.
* Want to learn from people with different experiences.
* Will help create a diverse participant group.
Academic grades, professional experience, and previous participation in international programmes are not stated as the main selection criteria.

* Another educational document confirming student status.
Applicants should preferably provide proof that they are enrolled until at least 1 December 2026.
Applicants selected for the festival must later provide proof that they are enrolled during spring 2027.

The organisers are not primarily looking for the highest grades. They are looking for thoughtful, engaged students who can contribute to dialogue.
Visa and Travel Warning
Selected participants are responsible for applying for their own Norwegian visa where required.
Participants must also arrange and purchase their own travel tickets, including applicants who have been awarded travel support.
ISFiT does not publicly confirm:
* Guaranteed visa approval.
* Payment of visa fees.
* Guaranteed invitation letters for every selected participant.
* Whether travel funding is paid before departure or reimbursed later.
Applicants should not purchase non-refundable tickets until they have received official acceptance and understand the travel-funding and visa conditions.
