Applicants from all 13 eligible countries may select from the officially approved:
Two-year follow-up master’s programs
Three- to four-year doctoral programs

Benefits
•CZK 16,000 monthly for follow-up master’s students
•CZK 24,960 monthly for doctoral students
•Funding for the standard duration stated in the scholarship decision
•One-year Czech-language preparation for eligible Czech-taught master’s candidates
•Healthcare reimbursement under the programme’s official conditions
•The scholarship decision can replace proof of study purpose, sufficient funds and travel health insurance when applying for the relevant Czech study residence authorization
The monthly amounts may be adjusted by the ministry. The amount stated in the individual scholarship decision is controlling.

Accommodation, meals, and local transport must be paid from the monthly scholarship.
Successful candidates should also budget approximately CZK 5,000–8,000 of their own money for initial administrative, transport and settlement expenses after arrival.
Eligibility
Follow-up master’s
Applicants must have completed a bachelor’s programme before admission to the master’s programme.
Doctoral study
Applicants must have completed a master’s programme before admission to the doctoral programme.
Language and testing
•All applicants complete the General Study Prerequisites Test.
•Applicants choosing an English-taught programme must also complete an online English-language test.
•The application is not complete without the motivation letter and all mandatory tests.
Required documents
The precise requirements depend on the study level and whether the applicant is shortlisted.

Doctoral applicants additionally need:

Applicants should not legalize or translate documents blindly. Follow the embassy’s instructions because apostille, superlegalization, and certified Czech translations may be required.
Application steps
1.Confirm that your citizenship appears on the official 2027/2028 eligibility list.
2.Review the official list of approved master’s or doctoral programmes.
3.Register through the official Study in Czechia application portal.
4.Select one eligible programme or study route.
5.Complete the application and motivation letter.
6.Complete the General Study Prerequisites Test.
7.Complete the English test if applying for an English-taught programme.
8.Submit the application no later than 30 September 2026.
9.If shortlisted, attend the Czech embassy interview.
10.Upload and submit the documents requested by the responsible embassy.
11.Complete any separate university admission and foreign-education recognition requirements.
12.Wait for the final scholarship decision, which the guidelines say should reach successful applicants through the responsible embassy by the end of June 2027.
Important warnings
•One applicant may register only once and submit one application.
•Scholarship selection does not remove the university’s academic admission requirements.
•Only selected programmes are eligible.
•The university, programme and language of study cannot be changed after the scholarship is awarded.
•The scholarship is not transferable to another person or academic year.
•There is no legal entitlement to receive the scholarship.
•Applicants already studying in Czechia are considered only after applicants applying from abroad.
•Scholarship payments can be reduced or stopped for extended absence, interrupted study, - unsatisfactory progress or insufficient attendance.
•The guidelines require an affirmation that the recipient will return to the sending country after completing the programme.
•A scholarship decision supports the immigration process but does not guarantee approval of a visa or residence permit.
•Do not pay agents claiming they can guarantee selection.
Application fee
I cannot confirm from the current official scholarship page or guidelines that the government scholarship application itself carries a fee. Individual universities may impose costs connected with admission, recognition, or administration.
Visa support
Successful recipients receive a scholarship decision that assists with the study-visa or residence-permit application. It replaces certain supporting evidence, including proof of study purpose, financial means, and travel health insurance for the relevant process.
However:
Visa or residence approval is not guaranteed.
Applicants still need a valid passport, accommodation evidence, a photograph, and criminal-record documentation.
International travel is not generally paid by the scholarship.
