Apply for Carleton University undergraduate scholarships in Canada for 2027. International students may receive automatic awards worth CAD 2,000–5,000, renewable entrance scholarships and competitive Prestige Scholarships.
International students applying for undergraduate study at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, may be considered for several entrance scholarships and awards for the September 2027 intake.
One of the confirmed awards is the President’s Welcome Award for International Students, valued at CAD 2,000–5,000. Eligible international students entering directly from high school are considered automatically, and no separate application is required for this award.
Carleton also offers renewable entrance scholarships to academically strong students entering the university directly from high school. The scholarship amount is determined by the applicant’s admission average at the time of admission. The latest published structure provides awards ranging from CAD 1,000 to CAD 4,000 per year, renewable for up to four years when the required academic standing is maintained. Applicants should note that this table is currently labelled for the 2026–2027 cycle and may be updated for 2027–2028.
Students with an admission average of at least 90% and strong leadership, community involvement or extracurricular achievements may also apply for Carleton’s competitive Prestige Scholarships. These include renewable awards and a very limited number of tuition-based scholarships.
Applications for September 2027 are expected to open at the end of September 2026. The Prestige Scholarship deadline is March 1, 2027, while the main admission deadline for international applicants whose transcripts originate outside Canada or the United States is April 1, 2027. Some degree programmes have earlier deadlines or additional admission requirements.
