weltwärts South-North is a verified German development volunteer programme that allows eligible applicants from Africa, Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe, and Oceania to volunteer in Germany for 6 to 18 months in non-profit projects such as education, health, environment, culture, human rights, and community work.

Who Can Apply:

Applicants usually need to be 18 to 28 years old, or up to 35 for applicants with disability or impairment. Applicants need a school-leaving qualification, vocational training, or similar experience from internships or volunteering. They must also be from an eligible country with an active sending organisation or partner route.

There is no central application deadline. Each sending organisation has its own intake period, process and selection timeline.
