The British Council 90th Anniversary Research Fellowships at the University of Edinburgh are open for the 2027 round. The programme supports international early-career postdoctoral researchers based in eligible ODA-recipient countries where the British Council operates.
Selected fellows will spend the first 10 months at the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities, University of Edinburgh, followed by up to 2 months focused on knowledge exchange and dissemination in their home country or region.
The fellowship supports research aligned with British Council priorities, including arts, education, English language, cultural relations, international development, peacebuilding, soft power, and cultural diplomacy.
